Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. This day is reserved for relaxation after your journey, allowing you to settle in and prepare for the adventure ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy the lodge surroundings or explore the town at your own pace. Dinner and overnight will be in Arusha.

After breakfast, you will depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, arriving in time to begin your first game drive. The park’s landscape is defined by ancient baobab trees and the life-giving Tarangire River, which attracts large concentrations of wildlife. As you explore, you will encounter elephants in impressive numbers, along with lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and various bird species. You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, followed by an extended afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

This day is dedicated entirely to exploring Tarangire National Park in depth. After an early breakfast, you will set out for a full-day game drive, giving you the opportunity to venture into less-visited areas of the park. The morning hours offer excellent chances to spot predators such as lions and leopards, while the riverbanks remain active with wildlife throughout the day. You will pause for a picnic lunch in the wilderness and continue your exploration in the afternoon, enjoying the rich biodiversity and dramatic scenery. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and another overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will enjoy a final short morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, making the most of the early hours when wildlife is most active. Later, you will depart and travel toward the Ngorongoro Crater region, passing through scenic landscapes and local communities along the way. There is an optional opportunity to visit a traditional Maasai village for a cultural experience. Upon arrival in the Ngorongoro Highlands, you will check into your lodge, often located near the crater rim, where you can relax and take in the breathtaking views. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater floor is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, offering one of the best chances in Africa to see the Big Five, including lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and even the elusive leopard. You will also encounter hippos and flamingos within this unique ecosystem. After enjoying a picnic lunch on the crater floor, you will ascend in the afternoon and begin your return journey to Arusha, arriving in the evening where your safari concludes.
